A few of my favorite photos from both paid gigs and personal projects. More can be viewed on my Flickr page or by clicking the widget on the right side of the page. Also, don’t forget to visit my portfolio site, bethbrousil.com. Click any of them to see larger.

I’m very bubbly and perky to the point of almost getting on my own nerves, so it’s always kind of funny to me that so many of my photos have a bit of a darkness to them.

Seahorses at the Shedd Aquarium, Chicago, 2011

Snowflake and Christmas Tree, Brookfield Zoo, Brookfield, IL December 2009

More from the Danse Macabre Parade at Bristol 2009 and 2010, set to the song “Young Men Dead” by the Black Angels. Yes, I totally stole this idea from the Fable 3 commercial.  Best viewed directly on my You Tube channel.

Friend’s little girl right around her first birthday. Her aunt saw this and said, “That’s her alright! Walking with a purpose!”

Sights and Sounds of the Bristol Renaissance Faire- best viewed in HD and on full screen. I placed third in their 2011 Raggle Taggle Gypsies video contest. Considering it was a video contest and I entered a photo slideshow, I thought third was pretty great.

*Just a warning that there is a song along with the slideshow and it will get stuck in your head for the rest of your life.

  1. I have to tell you I did not feel like taking 3 minutes to watch the video, but I started it and of course was immediately drawn in by your amazing photos, you have such an eye for it Beth. I am surprised you didn’t take first in the contest even with a slideshow, I don’t know if a video could have captured the magic like you did.

The site looks great and very professional, well done!

    • Thank you so much, Angie! I appreciate your taking the time to comment!

And that song will sneak up on you when you least expect it. You’ll be driving to the store six months from now and all of a sudden, “Raggle, taggle gypsies, oooooh…”

  2. Beth,

Beautiful! I think your photography captures wonderful moments – from dramatic to the most quiet.
